"What
is a Major Stewardship Campaign?"
An intensive, three-four months consultant-led effort to raise the most
money possible to meet the financial needs of the church.
"When should we consider conducting a
Major Stewardship Campaign?"
Usually the most appropriate time to schedule a presentation meeting would
be after the church has decided on the project.
"How much money can our church expect
to raise?"
Our experience shows that about 98% of the churches raise at least two
times their annual income, 50% raise three times their anual income, and
about 25% raise four times their annual income. Of course, this varies
greatly with the worthy cause and how it is presented to the church.
"Will our regular giving be affected?"
The Biblical emphasis can strengthen regular giving. The three-four months
of spiritual emphasis on giving will show the importance of regular giving
to ministry and missions.
"Why can't we do it ourselves?"
A church can do it themselves and some churches need to do it themselves.
Some churches do not have a large enough need to justify spending the
money for outside help. But for major needs, they should use an outside
consultant who brings both expertise and leadership energy into your congregation.
Also he will:
- Enable your minister and staff to focus on their areas of strength.
- Equip lay-leadership to perform with confidence.
- Raise approximately 80% more than self-led campaigns.
"What will it cost?"
The fee is based on the size of your church, the size of the project,
and the time we will invest in completing it. There will be some cost
for promotional materials and special events, such as a banquet. These
costs are controlled by the church.
"What about the three year period of giving?
Can we expect any help? How much of the committments
will come in?"
The consultant remains your consultant for the entire three-year period.
He is available for counseling and trips to the church field as needed.
You can expect at least 75% to 80% of the amount committed to be accounted
for and even more if follow-up is pursued diligently.
